Kaytee Vota Costa joined the Long Beach office of Carroll, Kelly, Trotter, Franzen, McKenna & Peabody in July 2014.

Ms. Costa graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Irvine, in 2005, and received her B.A. in Studio Arts. In 2013, Ms. Costa earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where she served as Executive Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review. In 2012, the Loyola Law Review published Ms. Costa’s article titled “The Truth Behind Echols v. State” How an Alford Guilty Plea Saved the West Memphis Three.” During law school, Ms. Costa also served as Vice-President of the Student Bar Association, and as a staff member of the Loyola Project for the Innocent. In addition, Ms. Costa was the recipient of the National Association of Women Lawyers’ Outstanding Law Student Award in 2013.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Costa served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Meredith A. Jury in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.

Ms. Costa currently resides in Long Beach. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, riding her bike, and attending concerts.
